Dear Residents of San Leandro,

It is with great pleasure that I ask you join me for our annual Budget Town Hall Meeting at City Hall in San Leandro June 20, 2018 from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.  I will discuss California’s 2018 Budget and answer your questions about how it will impact you and the city of San Leandro.  If you would like to learn more about where California will spend its money when it comes to education (e.g., LCFF and California universities), childcare, healthcare, homelessness and housing, then please come and hear about your tax dollars hard at work!

Zoo Lights

Every year, I partner with the Oakland Zoo and the Alameda County Community Food Bank to raise awareness about hunger and give back to those in need. According to the Alameda County Community Food Bank, one in six Alameda County residents relies on the donations provided at the food bank.

You can help end hunger in Alameda County by donating a can of tuna, a jar of peanut butter or other non-perishable food items at the 10th Annual Jingle Tails event. The Alameda County Food Bank will be collecting food donations at the main entrance of the zoo. As part of this event, families receive free admission to the zoo and get to enjoy the festively decorated Zoolights
