(Sacramento)  – Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Oakland), along with legendary United Farm Worker co-founder and organizer Dolores Huerta, are requesting two million dollars of state funding for youth programs. Assemblymember Bonta told reporters he’s proud of the collaboration between Huerta’s Foundation and the Oakland-based MLK Freedom Center, “The Youth and Family Civic Engagement Initiative, which is a partnership between the Dolores Huerta Foundation in Bakersfield and the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Center based in my District in Oakland, will really amplify and support the voices of our youth that they are change makers too, like Delores Huerta.” To learn more about the youth programs, watch this Assembly Access  video.   http://www.asmdc.org/bonta
