Bonta Legislation Helps Victims of Toxic Lead Paint Manufacturers

Thursday, March 22, 2018

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) joined other lawmakers and children and environmental advocates to announce a package of bills to address the toxic lead paint problem in millions of California homes. The legislative package will safeguard children from the health consequences of toxic lead paint, remove hurdles from holding paint companies responsible, and protect homeowners from threats of frivolous lawsuits from giant paint companies. “I am introducing Assembly Bill 2074 to help children and parents receive justice for the permanent damage imposed on them and to receive the care and special services they need,” Assemblymember Bonta said.
