Friday, February 24, 2017

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) joined his fellow Democrats in the State Assembly and stood in support of House Resolution 20, which encourages students to apply for the California DREAM Act. Recent studies show a significant decrease in California Dream Act applications, down 40% from last year. Speaking on behalf of himself and the API Caucus Assemblymember Bonta told his colleagues “In California there are an estimated 37-thousand Asian Pacific Islanders who are impacted directly by DACA. That’s more than in any other state.” For more information on the California Dream Act and how students can apply, please visit: http://www.csac.ca.gov/dream_act.asp.  Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
