(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) joined his fellow Democrats in the State Assembly and stood in support of House Resolution 20, which encourages students to apply for the California DREAM Act. Recent studies show a significant decrease in California Dream Act applications, down 40% from last year. Speaking on behalf of himself and the API Caucus Assemblymember Bonta told his colleagues “In California there are an estimated 37-thousand Asian Pacific Islanders who are impacted directly by DACA.

A California lawmaker wants state officials to consider greenhouse gas emissions when making new purchases, a proposal that would add a new wrinkle to the bidding process for government contracts.

Assemblyman Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) said the legislation (AB 262) would "harness the state’s enormous buying power to support clean manufacturing.”
