Public Transit is essential to daily life here in Assembly District 18. Whether it’s AC Transit, BART, or the SF Bay Ferry, these systems serve as the critical arteries for many families commuting across the Bay Area.
Recently, AC Transit has implemented schedule and route updates across several bus lines. These changes are now updated in the online schedules:
- Line 6: Bus stop location changes went into effect Spring 2025 on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland and Berkeley as a part of the Telegraph Ave. Repaid Corridors Project.
- Line 14: Stop locations along 14th Street in Downtown Oakland have been updated as the City of Oakland completes its 14th Street Safety Project.
- Line 96: This line, which services Alameda Point, has been updated to reflect a route detour due to on-going construction in Alameda.
- Lines 74, 76, 376, 607, 667, 675 and 676: Stop locations have shifted due to construction staging near Richmond BART.
Additionally, Supplementary School Service (lines 600-699) will be suspended for the summer, along with school-based trips on other routes.

As we know, our communities here in the East Bay have long grappled with under-resourced transit systems, street safety, and difficult conditions on the road. I was proud to support $750 million in increased funding for public transit in our state budget that the Assembly passed on Friday.
