Dear Friends,
I am excited to share an incredible nonprofit grant opportunity designed to uplift our community-based organizations that are working to promote outdoor equity. The Youth Community Access Grant Program aims to support projects that enhance youth access to natural or cultural resources, particularly in low-income and disadvantaged communities. This initiative is funded by the Youth Education, Prevention, Early Intervention, and Treatment account created under Proposition 64. Projects may include, but are not limited to, community education and recreational amenities that support youth substance use prevention and early intervention.
The due date to submit project proposals is August 14, 2024 at 5 p.m.
I want to extend my gratitude to the California Natural Resources Agency for their ongoing efforts to promote programs like the Youth Community Access Grant Program. These programs are vital efforts to expand community access to parks and outdoor spaces.
As a member of the Water, Parks, and Wildlife Assembly Committee, I will continue working to ensure our policies and investments center around young people and our environment. In partnership with the State, our community-based organizations can create lasting impact and foster positive change. If you have any questions or need further assistance with your application, please do not hesitate to reach out to my District Office.
Yours in Service,
Mia Bonta
